SIAMOC (Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis) promoted a National Consensus Conference, which started on September 2013 and lasted for three years, with the aim of providing guidelines for the use of Gait Analysis in the context of clinical medicine.

The following areas have been deeply explored:

  • Area 1: General issues and management
  • Area 2. Methodological and instrumental issues
  • Area 3: Scientific evidence and clinical appropriateness

Results of these huge work are now available on Gait & Posture. The open access paper can be downloaded here.

We’re very happy to share this paper with our contacts and friends. It contains evidence-based recommendations to assist both practitioners in managing gait examination and interpreting its results and administrators in defining appropriateness and remuneration.

Let us congratulate with all authors on this success!
